*IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR VIRGINIA MEDICAID PATIENTS*

Valued Fishing Point Healthcare Patient,
We are saddened to report that we are pausing all services for Virginia Medicaid enrollees effective April 15, 2026, due to nonpayment of claims by Virginia’s Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) for nearly one year. Without payment from DMAS, we are unable to stay open to you and our more than 4,400 other Virginia Medicaid patients.
If you have Virginia Medicaid, we urge you to establish care with an alternate provider before April 15, 2026. Please note that:
- All providers and staff across our Primary Care, Behavioral Health, Dental, Lab, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Radiology & Recovery services will only be available to address emergency needs beyond April 15, 2026
- Prescriptions will not be written or filled beyond April 15, 2026
- Any appointments beyond April 15, 2026, are cancelled
- Your medical record(s) are available by accessing our HIPAA-compliant Patient Portal. In the event you do not already have access to the portal please select the ‘Patient Portal’ link on our website (https://www.fishingpointhc.com) and register for access. If you need assistance, please contact your Fishing Point Healthcare provider’s office for help accessing the portal. Hard copies can be obtained by contacting the Records Custodian via secure email at records@fishingpointhc.com
What you can do:
- Contact Cover VA Call Center for help finding replacement health care services by calling 1-833-5CALLVA (1-833-522-5582)
- Contact your state delegate and/or federal representative(s) to raise our community’s voice about the future of Fishing Point Healthcare, and to help restore your equal right to choose and access quality healthcare. A list of these representatives and their contact information is available below.
We remain committed to you and will continue to fight for our right to provide equal access to quality healthcare for our community. Please reach out to your provider to coordinate your care needs prior to April 15, 2026.
